Usually my husband is up before me and makes the coffee (thank you Lee, I appreciate you.) I love waking up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee. But equally as much, I love opening my cupboard to decide which cup to use that day. I adore coffee cups and if they have polka dots on them, so much the better! Sometimes I go for the color, sometimes the message and sometimes in a drowsy fog, I just reach for the closest one.

Neither am I a morning person. Of course, I'm not a coffee person either. So my favorite container for my morning caffeine is an iced cold can of Mountain Dew. Not a bottle (poor second), a CAN! ;-))

Well I am with you about not being a morning person. I wish I was because I could get more done I bet....and I am not a coffee person either, I love my cup of hot Tetley Tea in the morning. Jim use to come home from work in the afternoon and make a pot of coffee. If I drank a cup with him it would put me right to sleep. I know, hard to believe but it puts me to sleep. My tea mug has a black and white cow on it.....

I like to buy Starbucks French roast from the grocery store and pretend I live in Seattle again ...and I drink out of a large handmade cup by mudluscious01 on etsy. It looks like a Michigan licence plate from the 50s.
My husband loves to drink from white fireking and vintage diner cups...the kind that weigh 30 pounds each?
I have a few favorites, Carlanda ... I have a set of heavy Pier 1 Import ceramic mugs I love, then I have a CAT LOVER mug that my Mom gave me, and a Cynthia Rowley Studio Mug that I got on a trip to NYC ... I am always keeping my eye out for the "Perfect" coffee mug - I also love them! Great Post!

I am right there with you .. have never been a morning person and I am pretty sure I never will be ..lol !! I have quite a few coffee muges but I always seem to reach for my favorite one from Starbucks .. it's white with the mermaid logo in green . I actually miss the holiday mugs they used to sell .. I have a Halloween one that is a few years old and I love it !

I don't speak, and barely open my eyes until I'm done with my 16oz cup of espresso. Since being single....one of the things I miss is having a strong capable man making my strong morning coffee.... ;-)
